About the club
Established 1884 — a Dundee tradition
For over 140 years, Baxter Park Bowling Club has been a quiet cornerstone of community life in Dundee's east end. The club takes its name and home from the surrounding Victorian park, 38 acres of green space gifted to the people of Dundee in 1863 by Sir David Baxter and his sisters and the only park in Scotland wholly designed by Sir Joseph Paxton, the architect of London's Crystal Palace.
Our crest carries the word DAIMH — Scottish Gaelic for "kinsmen" — and that spirit of fellowship has shaped the club since its founding. Today we remain a friendly, member-run club where every visitor is greeted as a guest and every newcomer as a future friend.
